Bind an insurance policy from a REGISTERED directory underwriter to a specific transaction, payment, or B2B invoice, generating an offline-verifiable POL-1 certificate. Bilateral non-custodial agreement with the named underwriter — the gateway neither underwrites nor accredits anyone.

Open referral directory connecting buyers and agents to underwriters that have self-registered (the directory ships empty; registration is not vetting). Code402 never holds float or takes balance-sheet risk; issues cryptographic POL-1 certificates for bilateral peer-to-peer policies on Base L2. No API key needed for the free daily tier. When daily quota exhausts, the endpoint replies with HTTP 402 Payment Required specifying the exact USDC amount. Machines sign an EIP-3009 transfer on Base L2; human engineers buy card credits. Every paid execution returns a cryptographically signed XDR-1 receipt for zero-knowledge audit trails.

Response Format

Paid responses also carry an offline-verifiable receipt object (XDR-1, secp256k1 signature recoverable to the authorized signer).
